About Me
I'm Rithy, a third-year Creative Multimedia student at Norton University with a passion for storytelling. My goal is to pursue a career in journalism, focusing on content writing, documentary filmmaking, and street photography.
My interest in journalism began in high school, where I discovered a writing talent. In 2021, I landed my first internship as a content writer and researcher at Bamnang Creative, and it fueled my passion even more.
The global pandemic, however, had other plans. My dream of becoming a full-time writer after the internship was unfortunately waylaid by COVID-19.
Needing to make ends meet and cover my studies, I pivoted my career path. My background in technology came in handy, and I successfully transitioned into an IT Officer role within the tourism industry.
Despite this detour, my love for writing never faded. I remained immersed in the media world through my studies, finding joy in working on school assignments. This experience became a turning point, reminding me of my true passion.
After two years as an IT Officer, the desire to pursue a writing career has become undeniable. While I acknowledge the challenge of starting anew with limited experience, the love for writing and its connection to my field of study make it a path I'm eager to explore.
